Patients. Surgery. Family.

These are 3 words that I use to describe Animal Planets show The Vet Life. Premiering in 2016, This show stars 3 dedicated black vets who aid pets as well as exotic animals, change lives, and heavily impact their community by running Cy-Fair Animal Hospital located in the suburbs of Houston, Texas. Dr. Diarra Blue, Dr. Aubrey Ross and Dr. Michael Lavigne are 3 veterinarians who all attended Tuskegee University and graduated from Tuskegee’s School of Veterinary Medicine. These three buddies and business partners help each other run a full-time practice as well managing their families. What’s their goal? To inspire and expand the career visions of kids everywhere and show that there are many great careers in helping animals. The Tuskegee-trained trio are a great example to every African-American student who is interested in the Veterinary science field.

Three seasons in, they have done so many major surgeries, that are mostly televised for the viewers to get an opportunity to see a day in a life of a full-time Veterinarian. From family bonding to removal of bladder stones, this entertaining show is very interesting to watch. I’m very excited to see what The Vet Life will have in store for viewers like me in the upcoming seasons.
